The 30th annual COMPOST 2022 Conference and Tradeshow proved valuable for Komptech Americas as an important venue to engage with professionals in the organics waste recycling industry
The COMPOST 2022 Tradeshow at a Glance
This January, Komptech Americas participated in the US Composting Council’s (USCC) annual COMPOST 2022 conference and tradeshow in Austin, Texas. While recognized as the largest compost and organics waste recycling event in the world, the COMPOST conference has also become one of Komptech Americas’ most significant sales, and marketing events attended each year. After moving to a virtual platform in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the conference returned to its standard, in-person format in 2022.

On Tuesday, January 25, the COMPOST 2022 tradeshow opened its doors with Komptech Americas featured as a Diamond Sponsor of the event. As guests entered the exhibit hall at the Austin Convention Center, one of the first visuals was the Komptech Topturn X6000 compost windrow turner, front and center. Surrounded by two 16-foot, backlit graphic towers-each with built-in LED video walls nearly 8-feet high-the green Topturn machine stood impressive and influential. In addition, supplementary video displays, application and product brochures, and specification information sheets were presented throughout the booth, adding to the overall guest experience.
Additional helpful information was displayed throughout the Komptech Americas exhibit booth at COMPOST 2022.
For the final two hours of the opening day of the tradeshow, Komptech Americas hosted an in-booth Happy Hour event. Conference attendees were invited to stop by the booth for complimentary drinks and snacks, visit the KTA team, and chat about everything organics. The Happy Hour proved to be a hit as guests enjoyed a variety of appetizers, cocktails, fresh-popped popcorn, and even a little background music playing on loudspeakers. During these two valuable hours, the Komptech Americas booth was packed, the team was engaged, and the brand was well represented. The tradeshow exhibition concluded on Wednesday, January 26.
Putting Komptech On Display At Demo Day
The COMPOST conference’s “Big Event” has long been considered the all-day, live machine demonstration known as ‘Demo Day.’ This portion of the conference usually takes place off-site from the rest of the meeting and is an equipment demonstration show designed for those in the market for composting and mulching equipment. Demo Day features grinders and shredders, screeners, and windrow turners.

This year, Komptech Americas showcased the Crambo 6000 dual-shaft shredder, the Multistar XL3 star screen, and the Topturn X63 windrow turner. All Kompetch technologies performed flawlessly, of course, and the crowd appreciated seeing the green machines in action once again.

Looking Forward to Next Year’s Conference
With the COMPOST 2022 conference now in the books, the Komptech Americas team is already excited about next year’s event. COMPOST 2023 is set to be located in Ontario, California, at the Ontario Convention Center on January 23–27, 2023. We look forward to another great conference next year in sunny Southern California!
